Barack Obama: his life is his message

I just finished listening to the televised speech of president-elect Barack Obama, and it was quite moving.

The story of this man is quite spectacular and inspiring. His life itself is his message, that we can do anything if we dare to hope.

The 1.5 million volunteers who joined his political organization were, no doubt, inspired by his charismatic leadership. But more importantly, something in them was activated by his example and his words, which flow smoothly from the core of his being.

This something is "hope," a most elusive concept and yet, perhaps the one thing the world needs the most today -- not only in America, but everywhere in the world.

That's because although America has become very powerful, it has also become extremely arrogant. The ego of what some people call the American empire, has expressed itself abroad, igniting fear and activating hate against America.

With the election of Barack Obama as the new president of the United States, there is hope that the American spirit will emerge, and that America will listen to its spirit more than its ego.

Through the example and words of Barack Obama, the American spirit speaks very clearly and it is such moral clarity that inspires so many people. Young people are especially inspired by his speeches as they are keenly aware of the enormous challenges facing them and thus they realize they need inspirational leadership.

In conclusion, this is a historical day for America and for the world. Barack Obama is such an inspiring figure that he is likely to influence many people to courageously pursue their dream in life. Indeed, he epitomizes and demonstrates the powerful line "Yes, we can!".

On that note, I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that I'm running for Prime Minister of Canada! :-)
