Program the Internet to generate wealth, Part 2

In the last post, I wrote about how to program the Net to generate wealth. Here are two examples (of dozens) of how I code the Web to gather information leading to wealth:

http://www.sureforms.net/connectivity.form
http://www.sureforms.net/createyourjob.form

The first one is sent to my 1,100 connections on Linkedin, and those who fill it out will enable me to build a business relationship with them.

The second form (createyourjob.form) enables me to cocreate jobs with those who are interested in creating a perfect job for themselves within one of my ventures.

A third form, at http://www.sureforms.net/gift4women.form, has generated dozens of leads also, enabling me to start a business relationship with those women.

My point is that you can easily "code" or program the Web so as to have "cyber assets" working for you. Why not?

The cyber economy is going to be the next economy, so it makes sense to learn how to use the Web as soon as possible.

Indian workers are already using the Web, built largely by the Americans, to export their services, mostly in information technology.

Meanwhile, in Canada and the US, most people still work in those antiquated physical spaces we call "cubicles."

Nothing wrong with working in a physical office or cubicle, mind you.

But if your work is information-based or knowledge-based, then you should be working in the cyber economy, where your knowledge and information can be represented and then re-presented in MYRIAD ways. Every representation, of course, is a NEW product, serving NEW clients and NEW markets.

This is what I call Cyber Capitalism, and most people (99.9% of the population) do not yet know about the secret principles regulating the Cyber Capitalistic Economy.

If you want to read more about this Cyber Economy, read the book The Sovereign Individual, by James Davidson. A bit technical, but worth to read, for the two authors are extremely knowledgeable about the new cyber economy.

But let's get practical and ask, "WHY would you want to program the Internet?"

Because the Internet is your business manager, your top talent, your employees, your suppliers, your partners, etc.

The Internet can be any of those entities, all working for you or with you.

In short, in your cyber career or cyber business, you don't need to have employees. You can have associates operating on a worldwide basis for you.

But you first need to create cyber assets that, like the two simple online forms above, will generate information for you. Once you have this information, you can work with it, and build relationships with people.

This is another secret I discovered on Linkedin. There are many people who have thousands of connections, yet they don't know how to build a relationship with their connections. It's like having a telephone directory: sure, you have thousands of names and phone numbers, but none of those people trust you, and you also have no reason to trust them.

It doesn't work.

The solution is to program forms online so those who are interested, can share more of their information, and you can share more of your information. The trust will be built over time, and lead to opportunities to collaborate and cocreate value.

One thing is for sure: if you want to make a lot of money from the Internet, you'll have to build relationships with hundreds, if not thousands of people.

This is mainly because it's much more difficult to trust people on the Web: you can't see them, can't sit down and have a coffee with them, can't really know whether what they are telling you is the truth.

So unless you find ways to build trust with people online (who may come from dozens of countries, some of which you may have never visited), you cannot create a sustainable business.

Even a highly successful Internet business guru like Rich Schefren, or Eben Pagan, has had to create videos to show their friendly faces in order to build trust.

There is, however, a social networking site where trust is, more or less, already built: Facebook.

Program the Internet to generate wealth for yourself

My specialty as an entrepreneur is KNOWLEDGE + INTERNET.

The breakthrough came to me when I realized that the famous "CEO" equation that Ram Charan describes (brilliantly) in his book What the CEO wants you to know, or R = MV, could be applied to Knowledge and Internet.

M refers to profit margin, while V refers to velocity (or sales / assets).

M is something that most professionals understand: your employer pays you a salary, but charges the client a price that is ABOVE your labor cost, and that's how companies make money.

The problem that you have, as an employee, is that although your salary is relatively secure and stable (although this is less and less the case), you do not have VELOCITY.

You can only sell your services to ONE employer, usually.

So that is the ceiling that is imposed on you, as you work within the "corporate" employment system.

Free agents, on the other hand, can offer their services to MORE than one employer or client.

Entrepreneurs go further: they hire people to deliver the services. They have basically taken themselves out of the equation.

This is when they get a chance to truly play the "CEO" game.

Okay, now that you have the background info in mind (and don't worry if you have to re-read the above many times, it is a bit technical), we can go back to the breakthrough that is turning me into a millionaire.

Rather than offer a service, I offer KNOWLEDGE (which can be delivered really, really fast, in any format -- audio, video, DVD, etc.).

And since I know how to program the INTERNET, that takes care of the velocity aspect.

In short, R = MV becomes R = Knowledge X Internet!!

Oh, R stands for Return on Assets.

The model that I use to license my specialized business knowledge to licensees, is not different from Edward de Bono's licensing program, where he offers training to trainers who then use his proprietary creativity workshops to teach and train their own clients.

What does this have to do with you?

The success secret here is 1. to move from offering a service, to offering specialized and valuable knowledge that people would pay for, and 2. to program the Internet to work for you, even when you are sleeping.

An example of "programming the Internet" is http://www.sureforms.net/connectivity.form, where I collect data from prospects in order to generate a report, free of charge, which nevertheless sells my expertise and products.

By the way, a big mistake that many entrepreneurs make is to spend thousands of dollars on a website that offers ABSOLUTELY NO VALUE to visitors!

It took me only 20 minutes to create the above form, which will enable me to create a customized report to help prospects. They are then much more likely to buy from me (if my report is good, that is).

In chess parlance (and I was a champion in my days!), this move is what is called "sacrificing one's rook to capture the opponent's king."

How to share your knowledge on Youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en4ZViUh-Uc

Above is a quick training video I created, on selling. I used the free sound editing software Audacity, then saved it as an MP3 file which I inserted in Windows Movie Maker (also a free software app).

Then, I uploaded the resulting video on Youtube.

The bubble annotations were added after, using Youtube's annotation functionality.

So friends, there you have it, an easy and fun way to capture your valuable knowledge and share it with the world!

Youtube can become Youteach, and you can make lots of money by giving people a preview of what you know so they can either hire you, or buy your products (ideally hosted at Payloadz).

Master your mind to master your life

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zzvVY-bTM4&feature=related

At around 2:10 in the above video, from the metaphysical movie The Shadow, you can learn a great spiritual lesson (while of course enjoying the cinematic effects).

Every person on this planet is on a spiritual journey of self-mastery, and Lamont Cranston (played by Alec Baldwin) is no exception.

Self-mastery means understanding experientially that the world is only an illusion, and that YOU have power over that illusion.

At 2:10, Cranston finally realizes that physically fighting the Purba (the sacred knife from the Tulku, his former master) is useless. He must concentrate his mind in order to control himself, that is, master his fear of death.

Once he achieves that state of mind, he is in a much better position to control the Purba.

Many of you have, or will experience moments in life when you are faced with a version of the Purba -- an instrument apparently external to you, which SEEMS to threaten you. This invokes great fear within your mind or psyche.

However, in your moment of greatest fear, lies your greatest opportunity for self-mastery.

Self-mastery enables you to grow and EXPAND the boundaries of what you thought was your complete self.

Your self is never complete, and you will always grow BEYOND the limits of what you thought was your definite identity.

But growth is not automatic, and requires consciously facing your fears and doubts. Eventually, you realize you created your fears and doubts, including the external symbols designed to TRIGGER your fears and doubts.

You created all of that, at a metaphysical level, in order to EXPERIENCE your own growth and savor the blissful experience of self-expansion.

My sister Zoonie is finalizing her autobiographical book, titled From Chaos To Zen, and it captures the idea that you must face your own fears and demons, and find peace within (or what she calls "zen").

Only then can you truly embark upon the creative path of creating yourself as you WANT yourself to be, without being at the mercy of fears of self-doubts.

In the video above, it is interesting that only when Cranston has the Purba knife cutting his throat does he finally realize the futility of trying to control things at the physical level. He closes his eyes, as if to force himself to ignore physical reality, and accesses the metaphysical realm where he effortlessly controls the Purba.

The principle here, uttered by many spiritual masters, is that "real mastery requires no effort."

Whatever you are trying to achieve in your life, if you feel that you're working too hard, it is probably not the correct method or path.

Are you working too hard to pay off your debt, or keep your job, or "save" your marriage, or find your soul mate? Then your method or technique might be too "physical" and action-oriented, and will not work in the long term.

There is always an effortless path, a path of least resistance. But first, as Cranston illustrates, one must quiet one's mind and eliminate one's fears.

Once you understand this principle whereby you must first calm your mind and control it before you can use it for creative purposes, you are well on your way to achieving anything you desire in life.

Create & Circulate in order to create wealth

The wealth creation formula for creating wealth via the Internet, is very simple: CREATE & CIRCULATE.

I have over 1,000 connections on Linkedin, and no one has (yet) circulated to me something they created.

Sure, I receive business proposal letters, requests for help, etc.

But no creation.

Friends, my point is very simple: Linkedin is of no business or financial value until you've created a product (physical or digital) that you can offer to your Linkedin connections (and even to the connections of your connections -- in that case, a small fee should be given to your connections for forwarding your offer).

If you are a user of Facebook, the same truth applies: no product, no economic usefulness, no money.

If your definition of "success" includes having lots and lots of money, then please consider (seriously) ways of using the Internet to your own advantage.

How? By doing what I wrote above: Create and Circulate.

So how do you create a product?

This is an important question because if you are an employee, chances are, your employer has never trained you on creativity techniques like Edward de Bono's (I've read all his books, the man is a genius).

I can tell you how I created my information products, which are now sold worldwide.

The Ideal Career workshop was the first, created in 2005 and now taught as a special workshop at McGill University for management students.

The BMW workshop was my second "hit", details at http://businessmodelworkout.blogspot.com

Remember, once you create information products or, in the two cases above, instructional products, YOUR FORTUNE IS MADE.

That's because you can offer your info products (at sites like Payloadz) to an INFINITY of buyers online.

Does this mean that a job is bad, since it doesn't really encourage you to create products that you legally own?

Not necessarily. A job is just "free, paid training."

I've always had that attitude, which is why during the 90s (in my 20s), I worked for corporations and learned everything I could from them.

I know all the secrets of IBM, American Express, a large law firm, CDI Corporate Education Services, etc.

Knowing all their secrets, has made me a fearless and lethal entrepreneur today (just kidding... I wouldn't harm a fly).

Anyways, a job is just paid training, and you should seriously consider "graduating" to become an entrepreneur.

Of course, if you're happy at your job and want to remain in it for a long time, hey, more power to you! Don't let me ruin your party.

I'm just saying that you could launch a startup based on your PASSION and make PROFITS from it.

About 10% of Canadians decide to leave the corporate workplace and launch their firm. Most fail.

Even those who build a business based on their passion?

So what's the problem?

WARNING: The following segment contains explicit adult material. If you're under 18, please get back to your homework or go chat on Facebook (just kidding).

The problem is that people don't understand how to use the concept of "orgasm" in business. Too many just fake it.

As for the rest who do not fake it, they are unable to achieve it for several reasons.
