To predict your future, invent it
A famous entrepreneur once said: "The best way to predict the future is to create it."
I would contribute this clarification: "The best way to create YOUR future is to PROGRAM it."
In other words, your life is like a software application that you write -- or code, rather.
Yes, you write EVERY SINGLE LINE OF CODE of this self-running application called "Your Life."
If you watch Donald Trump carefully, you'll notice that he's always writing his future life -- except that he does it by talking (some would say "boasting") about it publicly, in every media interview.
But just ignore the "boasting" part and focus on what he's saying; he's always describing how great this hotel or that resort will be. He is continually programming his mind, which manifests into actual wealth in his life.
He is one who thoroughly understands the cosmic truth that "each life is nothing but a dream dreamt -- and created -- by the dreamer."
People who have self-doubts, are shy, are not motivated or feel overwhelmed by obstacles, simply do not yet understand that they create their own reality. Of course, we're all humans so those negative emotions will inevitably come. I've had some of those self-denying emotions myself. (Just don't tell anybody, please).
But eventually, we have to realize that we totally create the life that we're having. So if your life-movie is not going the way you want, then you should talk to the movie director -- that is, YOURSELF!
If you feel that you don't have emotional energy in your words or actions, then talk to the main actor -- YOURSELF! Learn acting skills, learn body language, learn to play -- convincingly -- the role you wrote for yourself.
Here's a little trick: if you wrote a role and don't know how to act it out, then study great actors. A few years ago, I wanted to be CEO but didn't know how to "act" like one. So I began to study Anthony Hopkins' role in the movie Meet Joe Black. Hopkins plays the role of a media mogul and billionaire called Bill Parrish.
He also played a billionaire role in another movie with Alec Baldwin and Elle McPherson.
Let's get back to programming your future.
How do you do that? By living, right now, EXACTLY like how you would live if your future was your present, right now.
I'm not kidding. Think, speak, walk, talk, plan, eat, sleep, daydream, invent, debate, etc. EXACTLY like the ideal you -- the you that you want to become.
The more you create space in your life, right now, for the future you or your future life to come in and establish itself, the sooner you manifest that future into your life.
Of course, this space creation means you've GOT to "kick" your past out of your present moment.
It's like a cup of tea: if it's currently filled with bitterness, then throw it out so a sweeter drink can be poured into it!
This is not easy, because people LOVE to talk about their past and their pain and their previous experiences. The best way is to write a book and make money from it! And then focus on your future.
What's important, as mentioned before, is to create the space in which your future can happen right now, right here.
There are many ways to do that:
1. Throw out from your house all the things you currently do not use
2. Give away to your friends all the books you've read, to create space on your bookshelf for new books
3. Write on a piece of paper all the negative feelings you might have about people or events, and then burn that piece of paper (be careful not to set the house on fire!) or flush it down the toilet
4. Write on a piece of paper all the things you might not like about yourself, then rewrite them in a way that is pleasant to you and that is positive. For example, if I view myself as a "loner," then that's not very positive. So I would rather view myself as "a person with tremendous mental power who can sit alone and engage in piercing contemplative thought, leading to brilliant insights." I'm having fun with this, of course. But my point is, make sure that ALL your thoughts about yourself are the VERY BEST THOUGHTS possible!
