Chink and Grow Rich
The book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is great, I recommend to everybody. It sets out the key principles for first becoming wealthy IN YOUR MIND, and then becoming wealthy in life.
If I could write an appendix to that book, it would be called "Chink and Grow Rich."
A chink is a "narrow opening, such as a crack or fissure."
Every big market has some sort of a chink. The success secret is to identify it, then work hard at expanding that chink in order to access that market of buyers who are willing and able to buy your products or services.
There is ALWAYS a way to penetrate a big market. You just have to look for it. Once you do penetrate that market, then you're on Easy Street: it becomes so much easier to sell your products or services.
My former boss used to tell me: "If the client shows me out the door, I eventually come back through another door."
That statement accurately reflects the attitude that every entrepreneur should have: find as many ways to penetrate a market as you possibly can.
You can even use the Trojan horse principle: offer a gift, and after the market or corporate account has accepted your gift, then deploy your soldiers (or services / products) to serve that market or corporate account.
