My best advice: start teaching

This post will be very short, yet it's one of the BEST pieces of advice I can give you.

Stop reading and start teaching.

In other words, pick one of the best business or non-fiction books you've read, jot down the key ideas, and start teaching the contents of that book. Teach for free if you have to. But start teaching.

Teaching means "talking with a clear aim in mind." The aim is to be understood clearly, so that your students or seminar participants walk away with valuable knowledge that they did not have prior to the seminar.

Since knowledge is power, teaching therefore means "empowering other people."

Teaching also empowers yourself, since you gain the confidence that comes from mastering the information you've read in books.

The person who reads ten books, and picks one book to reread and study thoroughly in order to teach it, is FAR AHEAD of the person who read 100 books but doesn't teach.
